Diversity in Wine and Spirits has partnered with numerous organizations to provide a suite of award programming for marginalized and underrepresented professionals interested in the advancement of their careers in the food and beverage industries. DWS Scholarships

5 online scholarships per year, includes all WSET study materials, one attempt at exam and access to WSET online classroom for the course (wines are not included). Students are encouraged to purchase wine, spirits and/or sake as part of their learning and can budget approximately $125 for level 1 and $175 for level 2. (Prices vary regionally.) This is not a course requirement.

This scholarship is open to those in the US that would like to further pursue their education in Wine. Applicants receive levels 1 and 2 of the WSET program along with a coravin system and a voucher for wine tasting with Wine.com

Hudson.png

This scholarship is open to those in the New York State Vicinity. This program is not only an award for Level 1 WSET in Spirits but applicants have an all-expense-paid trip to Hudson Whiskey distilleries in upstate NY where they will see operations in distilling and meet with the distiller. The goal of this program is to give education and hands-on experience in a distillery.

The DWS Accessibility Grant is for professionals with disabilities that need assistance to create more opportunities than they would otherwise have. It is open to those registered with ADA. The grant can be used in conjunction to those also applying for scholarships.
